The Witch, the Missing Raven, & a Pile of Dead Warriors

The Witch, the Missing Raven, & a Pile of Dead Warriors
July 2, 2020 by Patrick Wheeler

The arrivial of the Mórrígan, as an introduction to the story. Much yet to do with lighing (a bit all over the place at the moment) and particle effects here as well as updating anmiations. I also need to address the missing Raven that should be perched on the right hand of the Mórrígan,  right hand, but going for a bit of shock and awe as the user finds themselves surrounded by a pile of dead warriors.

This part of the story relates to a Cú Chulainn and An Táin, where he is takes on an army over the course of months and builds walls of their corpses. Not dark at all. 🙂

Thanks to Majella Horan who is the voice of the Mórrígan. The text is from Ciaran Carson’s 2007  “The Táin”.

Restless does the Dark Bull know death-dealing slaughter secret that the raven wrings from writhing soldiers.

As the Dark One grazes on the dark green grasses waving meadows blossoming with necks and flowers.

Lowing cattle of the Badb, the groans of battle, armies ground to dust, the raven struts on corpses, war-clouds raging over Cúailnge day and night.

Kith and kin lie down to join the tribes of dead.

The Morrígan. "The Tain": Ciaran Carson Tweet
A pile of dead warriors, not gruesome at all.
